This is a full day workshop for business owners, managers, payroll staff and business advisors. 

The Workshop features:

• Overview of the current Industrial Relations system

• Reading and interpreting awards and determining coverage

• Ordinary time and penalty rates, span of hours, overtime

• Use of flexibility clauses, “flat rate” contracts and absorption of other entitlements, use of “salary” arrangements

• Calculating flat rates and ordinary time earnings on various rosters

• Termination and Redundancy, Unfair Dismissal and restructuring

• Labour Hire Licensing

• Long Service Leave including portable LSL schemes

• “Regular and systematic” casuals, conversion

Major Award changes are now coming into effect, casual employee entitlements and conversion are prominent, Labour Hire Licensing continues to confound and a Federal election looms. What to do?  Strategies and considerations to guide you through it all.
